Dropped by Chic Café SS15 and honestly, it was a nice surprise! The vibe here is cozy and chill — perfect spot to hang out or just enjoy a quiet meal. Tried the Unagi Don and loved it! The unagi was soft and tasty, and the tamago came in a thick, fluffy slice which made the whole bowl extra satisfying. The Chicken Karaage Rice was another winner — crispy chicken with their homemade mustard sauce, super flavorful! We also had the Saba Fish Ramen — light broth, springy noodles, and the fish was cooked just right. For drinks, I went with a Hot Matcha Latte and Hot Fruit Tea — both smooth and not overly sweet, which I really appreciate. Ended the meal with Daifuku in sweet potato and green tea flavors. Soft, chewy, and filled with creamy goodness. Overall, a really nice place with good food, good vibes, and decent portions. Definitely a spot I’d come back to when I’m around SS15!

While simple looking on the outside this cafe easily serves one of the best Chicken Karaage Japanese Curry Rice! The portions are large and just that alone speaks to it's value for money. But the taste is simply stunning. The Japanese Chicken Karaage came with a rice that had some meat sauce, a decent side of edamame and fine chopped seaweed. Just this alone made the rice a great dish by itself. The Japanese curry that came had a much more watery texture than the usual thick gooey ones you get yet they maintained a rich Curry flavour. The carrots and potatoes in the curry were cooked until soft and almost fluffy. With a small bowl of flavourful miso soup to wash it down. There was a side of Japanese mashed potato topped with slightly spicy mushroom while not to my preference adds a touch of spice if you need it. Next we tried the dipping sauce Karaage with Ramen. The Karaage chicken was really juicy and when you pair it with the tangy mustard dipping sauce it's just wonderful. This was the star of the show, just the ramen alone with the meat sauce, egg and bits of dried seaweed and chives transforms it into what I would expect a Japanese "Pan Mee" to taste like. Exquisitely creamy, smooth ramen that was so good just by itself it made me want more. The one thing that I didn't like was the tamago mentaiyaki. It wasn't so much that it was bad but it just wasn't what I was familiar with. Instead of the mayo and ebikko flame grilled to perfection, this mentaiyaki was more cheesy and with a hint of spiciness. This is my new go to dry Ramen, Japanese curry and Karaage spot and will definitely recommend it to anyone looking for great service, nice ambiance and a scrumptious meal! * They actually had dry chilli that can transform it into japanese lat chiu Pan Mee that I look forward to try in the future. * Tried the chili today with the ramen and it really has a kick to it that transform it into a Japanese Chili Pan Mee. Worth a try if you're looking for that spicy touch, I personally prefer it original without.

Like if a samurai retired and opened a cozy café in SS15, Chic Cafe serves Japanese comfort food with flair and just enough existential spice. The Golden Karaage is so crispy it might be bulletproof, and that mustard yogurt dip? Bold, confused, and weirdly addictive. They’ve got meatless options too , which is great if your conscience kicks in halfway through the menu. The daifuku dessert wraps up the meal like a sweet little lie you tell yourself about going to the gym tomorrow. Dim lighting, warm vibes, friendly staff—perfect for secret dates or loudly whispered therapy sessions.

Visited this cozy little cafe and tried their Tamago Curry Ramen Set and the Original Karaage Ramen Set. The ramen broth was rich, flavorful, and well balanced with comforting depth and just the right amount of spice. The chiclen karaage was also nicely marinated and has a crisp exterior. The dishes were served with a pleasant and cute presentation. The best part of this experience was the servings: generous, with free refills on the ramen items, which makes it incredible value. Not to mention, the staff were also polite and attentive. I arrived around dinner time on a Friday and to my surprise this place was nearly empty. This cafe deserves more attention and i genuinely hope more people discover it soon.

Third time here, and still impressed every visit. I'm glad my guests felt the same each time too! This little cafe is cozy and serves their customers whole-heartedly. They were also generous with the refill portion, and the effort put into the details you see on your table says it all. One of them even accommodated to my birthday requests during my first visit here, which made our meal so much more satisfying and enjoyable. I enjoyed the quiet moments of their cafe, but also thrilled to see it being crowded at peak hours because they truly deserve the recognition! Truly underrated. The boss seems like a man of few words, but still assisted us politely. I believe this explains why their service crew is equally well-mannered, even when hiccups occurred. Other than introducing their mooncakes at the counter, I'm comforted that I was not forced to put in a Google review (with a hidden agenda) unlike some other eateries, because that shows how much love they genuinely put in for their customers, and not merely just to boost the reviews. Highly recommended for sure!

The food was very good, all the options had a great portion and certainly did not disappoint. However, while the plating is very refined and made it very nice to take pictures, the dining experience was difficult because of the plating choice, for example the bowls for rice were quite small and full, which made it harder to eat. It would have been nice if the bowls were bigger. Another thing is the spoon being too thick, so that together with the bowls made it difficult. The service was mostly good, except that the waitress seemed a bit confused at times, although she looked new and inexperienced. Other than that, especially because the food was so delicious, i hope that the other things can improve so that more people can enjoy!

The unagi was flavorful and perfectly grilled, the curry udon had a great chewy texture, and both the chicken cutlet and fried chicken pieces were delicious without being greasy. The ramen was also very satisfying, and I appreciated that on weekends they even offer free noodle refills.
